The Consumer Direct Care Network considers fraud prevention, education and reporting among its most important responsibilities. Fraud is a threat to home-based health care programs in general and to quality home-based services in particular. In maintaining accountability, customer service and excellence in all programs, Consumer Direct has made fraud prevention a high priority.
Our Fraud Prevention video serves to educate and inform you and your employees about their rights, responsibilities, and the importance of your participation in both preventing and reporting Medicaid Fraud. The video does not attempt to depict examples of every type of fraudulent behavior, but is intended to help care providers, clients, and families to avoid becoming involved in illegal activity. It is your responsibility to recognize the signs of fraud so that you can avoid the problem. All cases of possible fraud and program abuse should be reported immediately.
To report suspected Medicaid fraud, contact the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit (MFCU).
